About João Giacchin
João is a Brazilian photographer now living and working between Mallorca and London. João first discovered his love of photography during his climbing career over 30 years ago and has been taking photos for 25 years. Travelling the world and witnessing some of the most amazing natural and urban landscapes he felt a great sense of connection between the person and their surroundings. This is expressed in his photography as his pictures aim to seamlessly merge the powerful physicality of the human form with the unique feel of their setting. His approach to the human shape and line in relation to its landscape shines through as an ongoing theme in his photographic work. João aims to find an understanding of the participants feelings whilst in action so he can help create the best photographic shoots naturally and with ease. Photography is not only João's work, but also his art and passion, he understands that the process can be just as important as the result and loves to work with people. He has collaborated and photographed people from all walks of life and along with his native Brazilian Portuguese, he speaks English, Spanish, Catalan and Italian.
